Kasper Schmeichel warns Leicester City: 'We are not safe'

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel warns his teammates not to get "carried away" by their four-game winning streak as they continue to battle relegation.

Kasper Schmeichel has moved to remind his Leicester City teammates that they are still not safe from relegation this season.

The Foxes' great escape continued on Saturday when Nigel Pearson's side edged out fellow strugglers Burnley at Turf Moor for their fourth successive Premier League win.

The victory lifted City out of the drop zone by a point, but with a game in hand against league leaders Chelsea during the week, Schmeichel has warned against "getting carried away".

"There's a long way to go still. We're not getting carried away," he told Sky Sports News. "We've given ourselves a great chance but we've got some very tough games to go still, so we're confident but we're by no means safe at all.

"Any team in the Premier League winning four games in a row is a great achievement. We're proud of that but that's gone now.

"We've got massive games ahead of us still. There's still a lot of football to be played. I know it's a cliche but that is the case, it is one game at a time."

Leicester's last two games include a trip to Sunderland, who sit 18th, and the visit of 19th-placed Queens Park Rangers on the final day.
