Midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum says that Liverpool are capable of going through the entire Premier League campaign without suffering a defeat.

Midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has suggested that Liverpool are capable of putting together an undefeated Premier League campaign.

Having won their opening eight matches, the Merseyside giants already hold an eight-point advantage over defending champions Manchester City.

While Liverpool face a number of tough fixtures in the coming weeks, Wijnaldum feels that he and his teammates have the potential to match Arsenal's previous 'invincible' season.

The Dutchman is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "It is possible. Nobody knows how it's going to be. We have had some luck up to now, but we have also put a lot of hard work in.

"We don't think about the fact that Arsenal did not lose in that season. We just try to give everything in every game."

Liverpool will hope to maintain their 100% record when they take on rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
