Liverpool, Arsenal 'make approaches for Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani'

Edinson Cavani has received approaches from both Liverpool and Arsenal, according to the Paris Saint-Germain striker's agent.

Edinson Cavani's agent Claudio Annelluci has claimed that both Liverpool and Arsenal have made approaches for the Paris Saint-Germain striker.

Widespread reports over the last few months have suggested that the Uruguayan international is open to a move to the Premier League.

However, the player himself was recently quoted as saying that he is happy to stay with the Ligue 1 giants.

Despite Cavani's comments, the striker's agent has revealed that top-flight clubs in England have registered an interest in the player within the last few months.

"There was much interest in the player during the past six months," is quoted by Uruguayan publication El Telegrafo as saying. "I can confirm that Cavani has heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal.

"He would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision. He is not interested in money and fame - just want to be happy playing football."

The 27-year-old joined PSG from Napoli in the summer of 2013.
