Spanish midfielder Javi Martinez is to stay with Athletic Bilbao despite interest across Europe, according to the player's agent.
Martinez has been the subject of persistent speculation this summer, with Bayern Munich and Manchester City among the list of clubs linked with the talented youngster's signature.
The 23-year-old's agent Tomas Sanz said: "Javi Martinez wants to stay at Athletic Bilbao and the club would only sell for €40m."
Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa has had a turbulent summer, with star names Martinez and Fernando Llorente both unsettled by rumours of a move away from the Basque club.
Bielsa has reportedly threatened to leave the club if his key players are sold before the La Liga season begins.
