Wayne Rooney hoping to continue clinical form against West Ham United

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney is keen to improve upon his 11-goal return against West Ham United when the two teams meet at Upton Park tomorrow.

Wayne Rooney is hopeful that he can continue his positive goalscoring record against West Ham United when Manchester United visit Upton Park tomorrow afternoon.

In total, the United skipper has scored 11 Premier League goals against the Hammers - including one from the halfway line during last season's 2-0 win in East London.

Looking ahead to Sunday's encounter, Rooney told MUTV: "West Ham are a team I enjoy playing against and, thankfully, I've scored quite a few goals against them over the years and hopefully I can get another one this weekend.

"You don't really think about what's happened in the past at stadiums, whether you've won or lost, you just focus on that day and that game, and trying to do well on that occasion. But I've done well at their stadium and scored a few goals."

Rooney is the only United player to have ever scored a hat-trick against West Ham.
