How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Leicester City

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for their Premier League clash with Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur's penultimate Premier League game of the season sees Jose Mourinho's men welcome Champions League-chasing Leicester City to North London on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs go into the game following back-to-back victories over Arsenal and Newcastle United, and Mourinho's side will endeavour to keep the pressure on sixth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers as they sit just one point adrift of the West Midlands outfit at this very late stage.

While seventh spot may be enough for Europa League qualification depending on the outcome of the FA Cup, Mourinho will not accept even a hint of complacency from his side as the Lilywhites look to further their own European hopes at the expense of Leicester's on Sunday.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham could line up for the visit of Leicester this weekend.

Mourinho will probably be reluctant to make too many changes to his side given the manner of their victory in Newcastle, although the Spurs manager has several absentees to contend with this weekend.

Indeed, Dele Alli and Eric Dier will miss out through injury and suspension respectively, while fellow midfielder Tanguy Ndombele picked up a knee injury in training and has seen his Premier League campaign abruptly ended.

However, Ndombele's frosty relationship with Mourinho means that the Frenchman would have been fighting an uphill battle to make the team anyway, and Spurs are expected to stick with the midfield trio of Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso and Moussa Sissoko once more.

Serge Aurier played the entire 90 minutes of Tottenham's victory over Newcastle despite the tragic death of his brother, and the full-back could miss out on compassionate grounds having travelled to France to be with family.

Japhet Tanganga could therefore deputise in the Ivorian's absence when the Foxes pay a visit to North London, while the rest of the back four comprising Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies is likely to stay the same.

Up top, Son Heung-min has registered a respectable attacking return of two goals and three assists since the restart, and the 28-year-old should start on the left wing for Mourinho's men.

On the opposite flank, Lucas Moura is supposedly struggling with fatigue but is nonetheless expected to feature from the first whistle, although Steven Bergwijn could come into Mourinho's thinking if the Portuguese manager opts for change.

Spearheading the Tottenham attack, Harry Kane registered a brace against Newcastle as he netted the 200th and 201st goals of his club career, and the England captain has vowed to continue his goalscoring exploits after reaching the esteemed milestone.
