West Ham United joint-chairman David Sullivan reveals that the club are trying to bring in both Andy Carroll and Romelu Lukaku.

West Ham United are planning a swoop for Romelu Lukaku as they look to partner him with Andy Carroll next season.

The Hammers have reportedly agreed a fee with Liverpool in the region of £15m to sign Carroll, after he spent the season on loan at Sam Allardyce's side.

Allardyce and joint-chairman David Sullivan now want to pair the England international with Lukaku, who scored 17 goals when he himself was on loan at West Bromwich Albion.

Sullivan told The Mirror: "Lukaku would be a loan again. We'd maybe buy him a year later if Chelsea decide they don't want him.

"If we sign Andy, it will be a record signing for the club. Having said that, he is just our type of player and it has been an exciting time watching him.

"He and Romelu would be devastating. The best strike-force outside of the top six or seven."

West Ham have also completed the signing of left-back Razvan Rat on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk.
