Heather Watson has recorded a straight-sets win over Anett Kontaveit to reach the quarter-finals of the Luxembourg Open.
Before the start of this tournament, Watson had failed to win a main draw match since reaching the third round of Wimbledon in the summer, but the British number two was superb as she came through by a 6-4 6-4 scoreline against the third seed.
The 25-year-old dropped just six points on her serve as she powered to the opening set, and although Kontaveit battled back in the second, Watson set up a chance to serve out the match.
At 5-4, two match points were squandered but Watson made no mistake with the third to claim victory in one hour and 23 minutes.
Watson - who sits at 81st in the world rankings - will now face Belgium's Elise Mertens for a place in the last four.
