Corinthians president Mario Gobbi has revealed that the club have held discussions with AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato.
The 23-year-old is reportedly unsettled in Italy and is believed to be edging towards the exit door at the San Siro.
Gobbi, 51, said that Timao are weighing up a move for the Brazilian international, who has scored two goals this season.
"There have been initial talks and we've looked at Pato," Gobbi told reporters. "There has been nothing more.
"Let's see what happens – but we are only in the early stages.
"It is as if I had invited a woman for dinner – we went on a first date. I do not want to create expectations, but we have cash available and are considering our options."
Pato joined the Rossoneri from Internacional in 2007.
