Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that he is still keen on signing a striker during the January transfer window.
The R's have struggled for goals so far this season, with Charlie Austin scoring 12 of their 21 strikes in the Premier League.
Amid rumours that QPR are looking to bring in Toronto forward Jermain Defoe on loan, Redknapp admits that he needs to boost his options in the final third.
"The key area for us in January is up front," he told reporters. "We're short on numbers in that area. That's the key for us in this window."
QPR are back in Premier League action on New Year's Day when they entertain Swansea City.
