Arsenal's Hector Bellerin: 'Beating Chelsea takes weight off our shoulders'

Hector Bellerin says that ending a four-year drought against Chelsea is a weight off Arsenal's shoulders.

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin has claimed that a weight has been lifted off the team's shoulders after they sealed victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday.

The Gunners ended a four-year drought against the Blues when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the only goal in the Wembley showdown.

"We know that a Chelsea side is always physical and they have pace up front," Bellerin told the club's official website. "We knew it would be difficult but the team responded well and we're very happy.

"For a few years there have been a lot of games and we didn't seem to get the victory against them. It's a weight off our shoulders for the boss, for the fans, for the club in general. We're very happy that we've started the season like this."

Arsenal will begin their season against West Ham United at the Emirates this Sunday.
