Watford have returned to Parma to acquire a second player on loan this summer, with the club using their knowledge of the Italian market to bring in midfielder Gianni Munari on a
one-year deal.
Marquez used to play at Barcelona, who are apparently willing to sell Dani Alves this summer. However, Inter Milan have
ruled themselves out of the race for the Brazilian full-back.
Hellas Verona are showing some ambition in the transfer market, and seem poised to follow up their loan signing of Aston Villa full-back Antonio Luna with the acquisition of Mexico captain
Rafael Marquez. The vastly-experienced defender will return to Europe after four years in the Americas.
Blackburn Rovers are still on the hunt for defensive recruits, but former Sunderland and Aston Villa centre-back Carlos Cuellar will not be joining them. The Spaniard had been training with the Championship club, but, like Jamie Ashdown, has left to explore other avenues. Jordan Spence, who was released by West Ham United earlier in the summer, is still an option for Rovers boss Gary Bowyer.
Thanks Sian. Ricky van Wolfswinkel's imminent switch to Saint-Etienne has left Guillaume Hoarau at a loose end. The former Paris Saint-Germain striker had expected to join Les Verts, but weeks of negotiations have proved fruitless and the 30-year-old is now
targeting a Premier League move.

Norwich City manager Neil Adams has confirmed that striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel underwent a medical with Saint-Etienne at the weekend. Well, the Ligue 1 side's manager, Christophe Galtier, admits that he is
keen to sign the Dutchman.
Birmingham City midfielder Tom Adeyemi only joined the club last summer, and has been named the side's new vice-captain. However, it has emerged this evening that the 22-year-old may have handed in a
transfer request.
Radamel Falcao has already seen Colombia and Monaco teammates James Rodriguez make the switch to Real Madrid this summer, and now the striker is being linked with a move to the European champions as well. However, the 28-year-old has insisted that he is
only concerned with playing for the French side, and has not been paying attention to the speculation.
Norwich City's Leroy Fer has only just returned to pre-season training following his involvement at the World Cup and his wedding at the end of last month, but the striker has been linked with a move away from the team. However, manager Neil Adams insists that the club are
yet to accept of offer for the Netherlands international.
One loan that has been completed sees Aston Villa defender Antonio Luna heading to Serie A's Hellas Verona on a
season-long switch. The 23-year-old featured regularly in the first half of the season, but struggled to find a place in the team after New Year.
Chelsea winger Christian Atsu had been expected to be heading to Everton on loan for the 2014-15 season. However, latest reports suggest that talks between the two clubs have
stalled because Chelsea are concerned that the Ghana international will not get enough playing time.
Arsenal striker Benik Afobe has had five loan spells in the last four seasons, and the Gunners have announced this evening that he's making a
temporary move again. The 21-year-old will spend the season with League One side MK Dons.
Thanks Jack! Newcastle United are thought to be on the verge of announcing the signing of Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow from Nottingham Forest. Although neither side have confirmed the deal yet, Forest manager Stuart Pearce has admitted that he
does not agree with the deal.

Leeds United have
confirmed the signing of AC Milan youngster Zan Benedicic on a season-long loan. The Championship club also has the option to buy the 18-year-old attacking midfielder when the deal expires next summer.
Burnley have reportedly
failed with a third bid for West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson. It was rumoured last month that the Clarets were preparing a new offer for the 24-year-old after seeing two previous bids rejected.
Cardiff City midfielder Jordon Mutch will reportedly
have a medical tomorrow ahead of his move to Queens Park Rangers. It is believed that Championship outfit Cardiff have accepted a bid from the R's in the region of £6m for the 22-year-old.
Rio Ferdinand has revealed that both Barcelona and Real Madrid
made approaches for his services during his time with Manchester United. The centre-back joined the Red Devils from Leeds United for £30m in 2002 and he went on to spend 12 years at Old Trafford, before he was released at the end of last season.

Jack Rodwell has
arrived at Sunderland's training ground for a medical ahead of his proposed move from Manchester City. The 23-year-old midfielder is understood to have already agreed personal terms with the Black Cats.
Michael Higdon has
admitted that he is "ecstatic" after sealing a move to Sheffield United. The striker, 30, penned a two-year deal with the Blades on Monday following a brief spell out in the Netherlands with NEC.
Scunthorpe United boss Russ Wilcox has admitted that he is
interested in signing Leicester City duo Tom Hopper and Jacob Blyth on loan. Wilcox was able to assess the pair on Saturday as his side defeated a Leicester XI 3-1 in a pre-season friendly at Glanford Park.
Blackburn Rovers defender Anthony O'Connor has
joined Plymouth Argyle on loan until January. The 21-year-old Irishman is yet to make a senior appearance for Rovers since graduating from the club's youth academy in 2011.

brought a keeper off the European champions. Pending the passing of a medical and an agreement over personal terms, Jesus Fernandez will soon sign on at the Ciutat de Valencia.

interested in signing NEC striker Michael Higdon. The 30-year-old Englishman scored 14 goals for the Dutch club last season following a move from Motherwell.
Wojciech Szczesny has admitted that he is
excited about competing with David Ospina for the goalkeeper's jersey at Arsenal. Ospina, who impressed for Colombia at the World Cup in Brazil, joined the Gunners from French side Nice last month.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he is
still keen on signing more players before the start of the season. The Reds have added six new faces to their squad already this summer, including Adam Lallana, Divock Origi and Emre Can.

DONE DEAL! And Blackpool have indeed made a signing, but it's not Greening that has arrived at Bloomfield Road. Spanish defender Joan Oriol has agreed a switch from Osasuna, who terminated his contract following their relegation from La Liga last term.
News from the Championship and it would appear that Blackpool are close to making another signing. Former Manchester United trainee Jonathan Greening has been on trial at Hartlepool United, but Pool manager Colin Cooper has confirmed that the midfielder has
received an offer from the Championship side that his club cannot match.
Time for a trip down memory. Back
on this day in 1999, the Premier League lost one of its most prolific strikers in the form of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who left Leeds United for Atletico Madrid. The Dutchman would soon return to England's top flight, though.
The biggest shock over the weekend was provided by Frank Lampard, who
