Jack Wilshere to make Arsenal comeback from injury ahead of schedule?

A new report claims that Jack Wilshire will be back in action for Arsenal sooner than expected, with surgery no longer required for a hairline fracture of the player's left fibula.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere is expected to be back in action in weeks rather months, according to a new report.

The midfielder suffered a hairline fracture of his left fibula towards the end of pre-season and had been expected to miss up to three months.

However, The Express claims that the England international is ahead of schedule as the injury does not require surgery.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is said to have sent the 23-year-old to Dubai until Thursday, with further relaxation expected to aid his recovery.

Wilshere made a total of 23 appearances for the North London side last season, scoring two goals.
