Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has compared his teammates to headless chickens after their goalless draw against Swansea City at Anfield on Saturday.
The result was the second draw that the Reds have had against a newly-promoted side at home this season, following their 1-1 draw with Norwich City last month.
"Sometimes we looked like headless chickens running around after the ball," said Agger.
"I think everyone was angry and disappointed, some more than others, but that is the way it is.
"We were really, really bad. When we got the ball we lost it straight away. We were not sharp enough. We did not press well enough."
Agger also admitted that his team needs to beat sides such as Swansea if they are to have a chance of getting a top four finish.
"We have to win these types of games, no matter which kind of team we put out," he added. "We are Liverpool Football Club.
"If we play like this, we won't [be in contention for a Champions League place]. We have got to move up a level or two."
The Merseyside club travel to Chelsea in the Premier League after the international break.
