Argentine side Boca Juniors have expressed interest in signing former Italy international Gennaro Gattuso.
The 34-year-old midfielder played his final game for AC Milan in last weekend's 2-1 victory over Novara, and will be available on a free transfer this summer.
Boca sporting director Pablo Budna said that he is hoping to speak to the player about securing his services following speculation over his future.
"Gattuso is a player we really like and the doors to our squad are always open for one as prestigious as he," Budna told Sky Sport Italia.
Gattuso, who joined Milan from Salernitana in 1999, previously expressed interest in a second spell at Rangers, where he played during the 1997-98 season.
The player earned 73 caps for Italy between 2000 and 2010.
