Ciro Immobile reveals delight after opening Borussia Dortmund account

Ciro Immobile reveals his delight after opening his Borussia Dortmund account in the 2-0 win over Arsenal.

Ciro Immobile has revealed his happiness after opening his account for Borussia Dortmund in the 2-0 victory over Arsenal on Tuesday night.

A fine solo effort just before the interval helped Dortmund to three points at the start of their Champions League campaign, and the Italian admits that it was pleasing to silence some of his critics who have singled him out early in the season.

"I'm happy about the score," Immobile told Sky Sport Italia. "Someone was already saying I was a failure.

"It's normal having difficulties at the beginning. I'm working a lot and the coach and team-mates are helping me a lot, too.

"The goal is dedicated to my family, because they know how much I've suffered at the beginning. [Jurgen] Klopp chose me and he gave me time, it's because he knows how much I can give."

Immobile moved to Dortmund from Torino in the summer window.
