Arsenal may reportedly have to cope without Ben White for Sunday's Premier League visit of Chelsea.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion man made his competitive debut for the Gunners during their opening-day trip to Brentford, but he had an evening to forget as the Bees stormed to a convincing 2-0 win.
Arsenal were already thin on the ground at Brentford due to a cluster of coronavirus cases, and according to football.london writer Connor Humm, White left the Arsenal base before training commenced on Friday.
Humm wrote on Twitter: "The players usually have COVID tests before training. I understand that on Friday Ben White left before training started and didn't return. Not pictured in any training pictures today either. Unconfirmed but probably going to miss Chelsea."
Mikel Arteta's side saw Willian, Alex Runarsson, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fall victim to the virus last week, with only Willian and Aubameyang thought to have outside chances of returning on Sunday.
Should White join Gabriel Magalhaes on the sidelines, the job of keeping Chelsea returnee Romelu Lukaku quiet will most likely fall to Pablo Mari and Rob Holding at the Emirates Stadium.
