Hull City striker Abel Hernandez has reportedly signalled his intent to move to Aston Villa during the January transfer window.
Hernandez played a starring role as Hull won promotion to the Premier League last season but he has only netted once for the Tigers since Steve Bruce departed the club.
According to reports in Italy, that has led to Hernandez contemplating a reunion with Bruce, who now manages the West Midlands club in the Championship.
Despite his poor form this season, Villa would likely have to spend in excess of £10m to tempt Hull into selling their first-choice striker, but Mike Phelan may welcome the opportunity to generate funds to strengthen other areas of his team.
Hernandez has scored 27 goals in 83 appearances for Hull since moving to the club in September 2014.
