Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made an enquiry about the availability of Chelsea homegrown talent and club captain Conor Gallagher ahead of the summer transfer window.
The North London club, under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, ended the 2023-24 Premier League season in fifth place to secure their qualification for the Europa League.
Even without Harry Kane, who moved to Bayern Munich last summer, Spurs have shown progression this term and are expected to bolster their squad during the upcoming transfer window.
To build on the progress made during Postecoglou's first season, the key areas that the club is aiming to reinforce are their midfield and defensive options.

Spurs ramp up efforts to sign Conor Gallagher
Gallagher has been on the Spurs' radar for a while now, and a report from HITC this week suggests that the Lilywhites are now pushing forward to try to get a deal done for him this summer.
In what was another fairly underwhelming season for the Blues, Gallagher was a standout performer, featuring in 50 matches across all competitions and contributing to 16 goals, scoring seven himself and setting up nine.
However, it seems that it is not only the 24-year-old midfielder that the North Londoners are tracking, as the report adds that they also have an interest in bringing in Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah set to depart Stamford Bridge in the summer
Chalobah, despite being part of Chelsea's first team setup since 2021, has largely struggled to establish himself as a regular starter and missed the majority of the first half of the season due to injury.
Following his return, the 24-year-old defender managed just 950 minutes of playing time in 13 Premier League appearances and scored one goal.
It is understood that Chelsea's hierarchy are open to the possibility of parting ways with their central defender, and with Spurs seeking more defensive depth, Chalobah could be an ideal addition.
Spurs are expected to test the waters with a bid for Gallagher, estimated at around £30m plus add-ons, given Chelsea's financial constraints and the need to balance their books before the end of June.
A potential deal for Chalobah is also valued at around £30m, which could make both players financially viable targets for Tottenham.
