Vincenzo Montella: 'Fiorentina play to win'

Vincenzo Montella is thinking of nothing but victory in this season's Europa League.

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has insisted that his side will do everything they can to win this season's Europa League title.

Montella, whose side take on Pacos de Ferreia at home on Thursday evening, said that he is wary of the threat that the Portuguese team pose.

"Our objective is to do our best," he told reporters. "Naturally, we didn't get back into Europe just to take part. We will do our all and see how far Fiorentina can go.

"These fixtures are played at a higher pace than in Serie A, but we have to interpret the movement of all the different teams.

"We always play to win, regardless of our opponents. Pacos had a record campaign last season, like to keep the ball and are quality opponents. Italian sides are often troubled by the Portuguese teams."

Montella has been in charge of the Viola since last summer.
