Kevin McHattie appeal dismissed

Kevin McHattie's appeal is dismissed, meaning that the player will serve a one-match suspension.

Hearts left-back Kevin McHattie has failed with his appeal against the red card he received against Aberdeen in their 2-1 defeat.

Manager Gary Locke believed that the decision should have been overturned and was disappointed with the ruling.

"I'm very disappointed at the outcome," Sky Sports News quotes McHattie as saying. "We have to take it on the chin and move on.

"At least I know who is out for the weekend - Kevin and Danny Wilson are now suspended. I'll have to look at things in terms of shaping a team."

Hearts travel to Inverness on Sunday for their next league game.
