New Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain has been branded "a little pig" by former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Croatia midfielder Robert Prosinecki.
The Argentina international joined Juve from Serie A rivals Napoli in a £75.25m transfer last month and made his debut as a substitute in the 3-2 friendly victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday.
He subsequently found himself on the receiving end of criticism from fans, as well as Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis, for appearing overweight when he came on.
Prosinecki told Croatian newspaper Jutarnji List: "I was shocked to see Higuain, he is even more fat than me! They paid €94m for him and he's arrived as a little pig.
"I can imagine how shocked [Juve manager] Massimiliano Allegri was, after he insisted on his signing. But they will make him fit soon."
Higuain began his career at River Plate before spending six years at Real Madrid.
