Arsenal are reportedly prepared to use Takehiro Tomiyasu in a swap deal to sign Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
Dumfries played a starring role in the Netherlands' victory over USA in the last 16 of the World Cup, scoring once and providing two assists to help his country claim a 3-1 win.
His performances for Inter and the Netherlands have attracted the attention of a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to football.london, Arsenal could offer Tomiyasu in any deal with Inter as the Gunners bid to beat their rivals to Dumfries' signature.
Arsenal are believed to be prepared to meet Inter's asking price of €40m (£34.5m) and send Tomiyasu in the opposite direction.
The Japan international has chipped in with two assists during his 39 appearances for the Gunners since joining the club in August 2021 from Bologna, while Dumfries has registered seven goals and 10 assists in 65 games for Inter.
Dumfries has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United, while Real Madrid are also believed to be showing an interest.
