Chelsea are reportedly set to rival Manchester United and Liverpool for the signature of Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams.
The 20-year-old has started 14 of Athletic Bilbao's 15 competitive games this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists.
He has also featured as a substitute in Spain's opening two World Cup group games, and his performances for club and country have led to interest from a number of Europe's biggest clubs.
A recent report claimed that Manchester United and Liverpool were considering a move, while Juventus have are also believed to be weighing up a potential transfer.
According to football.london, Chelsea are expected to join the race to sign the youngster, who is set to enter the final 18 months of his contract.
The report claims that Chelsea could be tempted to make an approach in the January transfer window after being impressed by the Spain international.
There is also believed to be interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, and those interested in signing Williams have the option of activating his €50m (£43m) release clause.
