Manchester City are reportedly ready to make a £39m offer for Valencia defender Joao Cancelo during the summer transfer window.

Manchester City have reportedly decided to make an official approach for Valencia defender Joao Cancelo.

During the most recent campaign, Cancelo has spent a loan period at Inter Milan with 26 appearances being made in Serie A.

Cancelo would allegedly prefer to remain in Italy for a longer spell but according to Top Calcio, the 24-year-old will have offers from elsewhere.

The report claims that City are prepared to spend £39m to win the race to sign the Portugal international, who is also said to be a target for other teams in the Premier League.

Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are allegedly willing to spend big to strengthen their squad with the acquisition of the full-back.
