Incoming Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick is reportedly ready to target a move for RB Leipzig's Amadou Haidara.
Rangnick is expected to be named the English club's head coach for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign before taking on a two-year consultancy role at Old Trafford.
According to The Mirror, Rangnick has identified Haidara as a leading target, with the German signing the Mali international for Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg in 2018.
The report claims that there is a £33m release clause in the 23-year-old's contract, and the midfielder could be targeted either in January or during next summer's transfer window.
Haidara has again been a key player for his German club during the 2021-22 campaign, making 16 appearances in all competitions, contributing three goals in the process.
The midfielder, who still has three and a half years left to run on his contract at Leipzig, has scored 10 goals and registered six assists in 99 appearances for his current side in all competitions.
Newcastle United are also believed to be interested in bringing him to the Premier League.
