Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly decided to make an approach for Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
Earlier this year, Napoli were linked with Sporting Lisbon stopper Rui Patricio but that interest has cooled since the arrival of Ancelotti.
According to Corriere della Sera, Ancelotti instead wants to sign Handanovic, despite the stopper turning 34 years of age next month.
Handanovic has been one of the top goalkeepers in Serie A since linking up with Inter in 2012, but the San Siro outfit appear willing to do business for a fee in the region of €25m (£22.01m).
Napoli must sign a new number one this summer, with Pepe Reina having taken the opportunity to join AC Milan on a free transfer.
