Nottingham Forest vs. Fulham: Nuno Espirito Santo's looking to extend 2024-25 Premier League streak

Nottingham Forest will be bidding to remain as the only side to possess a certain Premier League streak when they host Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Nottingham Forest will be hoping to extend a 2024-25 Premier League streak against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Having narrowly avoided relegation last season, Nuno Espirito Santo and the club's supporters were hopeful of a better start to this campaign.

As it stands, the East Midlands outfit are exceeding expectations, putting together a five-match unbeaten streak and accumulating nine points in the process.

Although Forest only sit in eighth position in the standings, they are already eight points clear of the bottom three heading into their upcoming game.

The Cottagers make the trip to the City Ground on an undefeated run of their own, going four games without losing since being edged out by Manchester United on the opening weekend.

Can Forest extend Premier League scoring run?

As a result, this is a match between two teams who will sense an opportunity to strengthen their place in the top half of the table ahead of the October international break.

From Forest's perspective, they will be confident of delivering yet again on the basis that they have opened the scoring in each of their five matches.

While the three draws on their record means there will be some disappointment associated with that record, no other team has achieved that scoring streak this season.

Interestingly, the goals have come at various points in a match, with two of the strikes in question being netted in the 70th minute and beyond.

On the other three occasions, however, Chris Wood has netted the opener no later than the 23rd minute, the New Zealand international now boasting a record of 14 goals from 21 Premier League outings under Nuno.

Forest will also be attempting to go six matches unbeaten at the start of a season for the first time since 2024-15, when they were competing in the Championship.

Fulham hoping to equal club record

Marco Silva will be delighted with Fulham having bounced back from the Old Trafford disappointment to accumulate eight points from their other four games.

Should the West Londoners find a way to prevail at the City Ground, it would equal their best-ever start to a Premier League season after six matches.

At the same time that Forest are yet to keep a home clean sheet, Fulham have no shutouts to their name in any of their five games, conceding once on every occasion.
