Carlo Ancelotti calls for Real Madrid focus

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says that his side will have to be at their best to overcome Schalke 04 in the Champions League.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that his side will have to be "very focused" to overcome Schalke 04 in the Champions League.

The Spanish outfit were drawn against the German club on Monday, but could have faced the likes of Manchester City or Arsenal.

"This is the last-16 and the knockout stage in the Champions League and it's always difficult. We'll have to be very focused," he told reporters at a press conference.

"They're a team with plenty of experience. It's neither good nor bad fortune with the draw. This is the last-16 and we'll have to give our best against Schalke in both the games.

"This is a very important competition for us, we will have to be ready and to make the most of it."

Madrid currently sit third in La Liga.
