Ospreys lock Alun-Wyn Jones is likely to be ruled out of Wales's match against Australia next month as he is due to undergo surgery on his foot.
The 26-year-old, who is scheduled to have the operation this weekend, suffered the injury while training with the Celtic League club.
"Alun-Wyn suffered a foot injury in training this week," said Ospreys head physiotherapist Chris Towers.
"As a result, he is going to require surgery to repair soft tissue damage, which will be carried out over the weekend.
"Once he starts his post-op rehab work we will be in a better position to predict recovery timelines."
The Wales international will miss his side's Heineken Cup clash against Treviso this weekend.
