Former world number one Rafael Nadal has reportedly ruled himself out of next month's ATP World Tour Masters Series events.
The 26-year-old, who returned to action following a seven-month layoff with a knee injury to win the Brazil Open earlier this month, will be absent for the tournaments in Miami and Indian Wells.
"It's better on some days and worse on others, which isn't ideal for someone like me, because my idea of competing is based on giving it all at all times," BBC Sport quotes Nadal as saying.
The 11-time Grand Slam champion has put his efforts into competing on clay courts only as he bids to clinch the French Open title in May.
