Arsenal have reportedly made contact with the agent of Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia.
The Gunners' pursuit of a new creative midfielder is well-documented, especially with Mesut Ozil supposedly heading for the exit door after agreeing to terminate his contract.
Arsenal have long-been linked with a move for the £40m-rated Buendia, and a swap deal involving out-of-favour youngsters Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson has been mooted.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners are indeed interested in signing the Norwich man, and they have touched base with the Argentine's entourage.
However, Romano also reports that the Canaries are yet to receive a concrete bid for Buendia, who has affirmed that he is "very happy" at Carrow Road despite frequent links with a move to North London.
The 24-year-old, who boasts seven goals and seven assists in the current Championship campaign, is also understood to have garnered interest from Valencia.
