The 16-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in England, with a number of clubs, including sides from abroad, interested in a move.
However, according to the Daily Star, Chelsea are confident of prising the teenager away from Rochdale to join the youth-team set-up at Stamford Bridge.
Rochdale are yet to comment on the transfer speculation.
