Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has insisted that he hopes never to play in the Europa League again ahead of tonight's final against Benfica.
The West London outfit dropped into the second-tiered European competition following their failure to progress past the group phase in the Champions League.
"It was a huge disappointment to go out of the Champions League but we wanted to respect this competition," The Mirror quotes Cech as saying. "This could be the only chance for us to win it. It is not something you say with a lack of respect, but I hope this is the last time I play in this competition."
Meanwhile, interim Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez could end his short stint at the club with a silverware before moving on to pastures new.
