Liverpool handed triple injury boost?

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp suggests that three first-team players will all return to the squad for Thursday's Premier League fixture with Chelsea.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hinted that Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Diogo Jota could all feature in the squad to face Chelsea on Thursday night.

The trio were absent from the team which faced Sheffield United on Sunday evening, leading to speculation regarding their availability later this week.

However, after the 2-0 victory at Bramall Lane, Klopp acknowledged that he expected the three players to play some part of the crucial Premier League showdown at Anfield.

Klopp is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "Alisson and Fabinho, I am pretty sure. With Diogo, he was with us last night in the hotel, but he got sick overnight and we had to send him home. So it will depend how quickly he recovers, obviously.

"He wasn't in the squad, but he's trained with the team before and looked really good, like I said before."

While Alisson has been on compassionate leave, Fabinho and Jota have been sidelined by muscle and knee injuries respectively.
