Liverpool reportedly want to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente after the World Cup.
Llorente is in line to add to the 17 caps he has already earned for Spain at the tournament in Qatar, as part of Luis Enrique's 26-man squad.
However, reports are linking the 27-year-old with a move away from Atletico, with the Reds in the market for a midfielder due to long-term injuries suffered by Arthur Melo and Naby Keita.
According to Calciomercato, Liverpool are looking to sign a midfielder after the tournament ends, and manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a fan of Llorente and believes he has the profile to fit in at the club.
The reported fee is said to be around €40m (£35m) despite the fact his deal runs out in 2027, and with Atletico's current financial issues they may be forced to part ways with one of their stars.
This season he has been a key figure for Diego Simeone, having started all but one game out of his 12 appearances so far, where he has managed one goal.
