Ashley Young 'prepared to look elsewhere' for playing time

Ashley Young reportedly favours staying at Manchester United for another season, but he will consider quitting if his chances of first-team football do not improve.

Ashley Young will reportedly consider quitting Manchester United at the end of the season if he continues to find his opportunities limited.

The England international has lost his spot as the Red Devils' first-choice left-back to Luke Shaw in the early weeks of the 2018-19 campaign.

Young has started two of United's seven games this term, including the 2-1 win at Watford 10 days ago when Shaw was nursing a head injury.

With his contract due to expire at the end of the season, ESPN reports that the 33-year-old is open to moving on, and he has not ruled out joining a foreign club.

However, Young would prefer to extend his eight-year stay at Old Trafford, but only if he is not seen as an understudy to Shaw.
