Newly-promoted Fulham are reportedly preparing to make a surprise approach for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Fulham.

During a near-seven-year stint at Stadio Olimpico, Milinkovic-Savic has established himself as one of the most highly-regarded midfielders in Europe.

Such is the Serbia international's reputation that he has been frequently linked with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus in recent years.

However, according to 90 min, Fulham are ready to rival some of the continent's biggest clubs in the race for the 27-year-old's signature.

The report claims that compatriot Aleksandar Mitrovic - arguably Fulham's key player - is pushing for his international teammate to make the switch to Craven Cottage.

Despite the bid seemingly being speculative, Fulham are said to believe that they have a chance of pulling off what would be regarded as one of the coups of the summer window.

Recent reports have claimed that Milinkovic-Savic is ready to take on a new challenge ahead of 2022-23.
