French club Monaco are reportedly prepared to offer Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye a summer return to his homeland.
The Reds are currently bankrolled by Russian billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, who has previously been linked with funding transfers for Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez.
The latest player to be linked with a move to Southern France is Cabaye, for whom Rybolovlev is willing to pay £20m, according to the Daily Star.
However, the report has suggested that the Magpies are confident of keeping hold of the 27-year-old because his contract at St James' Park does not expire until June 2016.
