Apostolos Vellios close to Nottingham Forest exit?

Nottingham Forest striker Apostolos Vellios has reportedly moved to the brink of signing for Greek giants Olympiacos.

Olympiacos are reportedly interested in signing Apostolos Vellios from Nottingham Forest.

Last summer, the East Midlands side paid £1m to sign Vellios from Iraklis Salonika, but he endured a frustrating season at the City Ground where he netted just six goals in 28 Championship appearances.

According to reports in Greece, he is being sold by head coach Mark Warburton with Olympiacos allegedly ready to complete the transfer of the 25-year-old.

That suggestion has been backed up by a social media post from Vellios, who has taken a picture of himself in Thessaloniki.

Vellios has already played for six clubs during his career, which has included time at Everton and a brief loan spell at Blackpool.
