Stoke City have reportedly prepared a £6.5m bid for Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods.
The 24-year-old has made 128 appearances for the Bees since joining from Shrewsbury Town in 2015.
However, Woods is yet to feature for the West Londoners in the Championship this season.
According to Sky Sports News, Stoke's potential offer meets Brentford's asking price for the midfielder, and the proposed move would be an initial loan to be made permanent in January.
Swansea City are also believed to have tried for Woods but, according to the report, the Welsh side failed to meet Brentford's valuation.
Brentford have picked up seven points from their opening three games to sit ninth in the table.
