Shrewsbury have moved into the third round of the Carling Cup with a 3-1 win over new Premier League team Swansea City at The New Meadow.
Swansea went up 10 minutes in from a headed own goal from Shrewsbury’s Shane Cansdell-Sherriff.
Shrewsbury levelled the scores less than 10 minutes later with a Marvin Morgan shot from inside the penalty box.
The scores remained tied until the 63rd minute when Shrewsbury’s Mark Wright slotted the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 2-1.
Nicky Wroe sealed the result for the League Two side in injury time with a goal from outside the penalty area.
