New Wolfsburg signing Julian Draxler has said that he joined the club in order to grow and develop as a player.
The 21-year-old completed his move to the Wolves from Bundesliga rivals Schalke 04 on Monday for a reported £25.5m fee.
The German international had been strongly linked with a move to Juventus throughout the summer, but he has said that he can still achieve his goals by staying in his homeland.
"I left Schalke because I wanted a change of scenery," Draxler told reporters.
"But I think that in Germany, in relation to Italy, I can grow more and better develop my characteristics. The Bundesliga is an environment that I already know.
"I'm only sorry to have not arrived here to find [Kevin] De Bruyne. It would have been great to play with him."
Draxler was part of the Germany squad that won the World Cup in Brazil last summer.
