Summer signing Enso Gonzalez says that he is prepared to remain patient in his quest for senior action at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Enso Gonzalez has suggested that he has no concerns over his lack of senior game time at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

During the closing days of the summer transfer window, the Premier League outfit were finally active in the market, securing a deal for the 18-year-old.

Wolves made the decision to pay €6m for a player that had already racked up 39 appearances for Paraguayan side Club Libertad, seven of which came in continental competition.

However, two-and-a-half months since his arrival and the teenager is still waiting to be given first-team minutes by head coach Gary O'Neil.

Gonzalez has only been an unused substitute in a senior squad on two occasions - away at Crystal Palace in the Premier League and for the EFL Cup tie with Ipswich Town.

Instead, Gonzalez has become a regular with the Under-21s, making three starts in Premier League 2 and also making an impression in a 2-1 victory over PSV Eindhoven in an International Cup fixture.

Despite not featuring in the top flight of English football as he may have hoped, Gonzalez is determined to keep working for an opportunity later in the season.

Speaking to Paraguayan outlet Versus, the prospect said: "It was very difficult at the beginning, the pace cost me, the atmosphere, the weather, but I know that the road is long and everything in its time. It happened with Julio (Enciso), who had to wait a long time to debut, so I am calm.

"The first game with the Under 21 team, had a bit of a hard time, I played weakly. But then in the following games I adapted quickly and played well. The coach's assistant usually goes to watch the games.

"I am aware that this is a long process, it is a process of adaptation. That keeps me calm, all in his time. I always say let it be what God wants."

Gonzalez signed a six-year contract when choosing to make the switch to Molineux in August.

With star winger Pedro Neto expected to be sidelined until at least December, Gonzalez will hope to earn a place in an upcoming Premier League squad.
