Hamburger SV have played down reports linking Arsenal with a move for goalkeeper Rene Adler.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is allegedly keen to sign a new stopper to his squad in the summer to add some experience alongside the youthful Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski, with reports claiming that he had identified the German international.
Despite the rumours, general manager Frank Arnesen insists that there has been no contact from the North London outfit.
"It's obviously a fact that Arsenal FC is on the search for a goalkeeper," Arnesen told Bild.
"But thus far no-one from Arsenal FC has been in touch with our club."
Adler joined Hamburg last summer after 12 years with Bayer Levekusen.
