Report: Arsenal free to sign Karim Benzema

Real Madrid are preparing to sell Karim Benzema to Arsenal and have identified replacements for the striker, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to sell Karim Benzema to Arsenal this summer and have already lined up replacements for the striker.

The France international has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for some time, with reports suggesting that he would be keen on switch to the Gunners.

It is thought that the 27-year-old is considering his future at Santiago Bernabeu, with Real head coach Rafael Benitez preparing to play Cristiano Ronaldo as a central striker this season.

According to The Metro, Arsenal are willing to make Benzema their highest-paid player in an effort to lure him to North London.

Real have reportedly drawn up a list of replacements for the frontman, which includes Alvaro Morata, Fernando Llorente, and Sergio Aguero.

Benzema has scored 124 goals in 242 games since joining Real from Lyon in 2009.
