Eintracht Frankfurt ease past 10-man Bordeaux

Eintracht Frankfurt start their Europa League group stage campaign with a 3-0 victory against Bordeaux.

Eintracht Frankfurt have beaten Bordeaux 3-0 in this evening's Europa League Group F clash at the Commerzbank-Arena.

Vaclav Kadlec gave the home side the perfect start after four minutes when he fired home from inside the box after the defence failed to clear a long ball.

Marco Russ doubled the home side's lead in the 16th minute when he slotted home a cross from Tranquillo Barnetta.

Minutes later Jussie Ferreira Vieira had a chance to pull one back but his strike was turned wide by goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, before Andre Biyogo Poko headed over a cross from Maurice-Belay.

Constant Djakpa scored the home side's third in the 52nd minute when he curled a low free kick past goalkeeper Cédric Carrasso.

Bordeaux finished the match with 10 men when Lucas Orban saw red for bringing down Stefan Aigner with the winger through on goal.
