Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has admitted that manager Jurgen Klopp has played a significant role in his excellent form over the past 12 months.
Since Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers last October, Coutinho has scored 15 goals in all competitions, with four of them coming during a strong start to the season for the Merseyside giants.
The Brazilian international is considered to be one of the club's leading players but he insists that there is still room for improvement while he works with Klopp.
The 24-year-old told the Liverpool Echo: "Maybe this is the best I've played but I still think I can improve. This is just the start. I always want to improve and do better.
"I want to be an important player for this team. I want to help my teammates to achieve great things. Jurgen has helped me to develop a lot as a player. I really enjoy working with this manager. He has given me a lot of confidence."
Coutinho has scored a total of 33 goals in 152 appearances in all competitions since Liverpool paid Inter Milan £8.5m for his signature in January 2013.
