Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson: 'Mohamed Salah is in best place'

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson says that winger Mohamed Salah is in "the best place" to become one of the world's best players.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has predicted that Mohamed Salah will remain at Anfield for a number of years.

Since leaving Roma for Liverpool last summer, Salah has scored 41 goals from 47 appearances in all competitions and picked up the PFA Player of the Year award on Sunday night.

Salah has been linked with a lucrative move away from the Merseyside giants, but Henderson feels that the Egyptian international is already in "the best place" to continue his development.

At a press conference, the 27-year-old told reporters: "He's a fantastic player. He's up there with the world's best.

"There will be other teams who will take him away but he's in the best place here. Mo is a big part of what we do now and I am sure he will be for many years to come."

Henderson and Salah are expected to start when Liverpool face Roma in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday night.
