Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley is in line to make his Premier League debut when the Reds head south to meet Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
The Reds are still working without three senior full-backs in Trent Alexander-Arnold (knee), Andrew Robertson (shoulder) and Kostas Tsimikas (collarbone), with the latter two's absences forcing Joe Gomez to hold the fort on the left.
After talking up Bradley's display against Fulham in the EFL Cup, Jurgen Klopp is expected to reward the 20-year-old with his top-flight baptism this weekend, although the Reds boss is not anticipating the return of Dominik Szoboszlai (thigh) just yet.
Joel Matip (knee), Thiago Alcantara (hip), Ben Doak (knee), and Stefan Bajcetic (calf) are also on the long road to recovery, while Wataru Endo and Mohamed Salah are away on international duty, but the latter suffered an injury scare during Egypt's recent Africa Cup of Nations draw with Ghana.
Bradley's maiden Premier League appearance will see the 20-year-old link arms with Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Gomez in the rearguard, with Alexis Mac Allister operating just ahead of them.
Curtis Jones sparked the Liverpool turnaround against Fulham with a fortunate deflected effort, and the Merseyside native should also form part of an unchanged midfield trident with Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch.
However, Klopp's biggest selection dilemmas undoubtedly lie in attack, as the introductions of Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo changed the game in their EFL Cup semi-final first leg with Fulham - one of the former's two assists was for the latter's winning goal.
A recall for Nunez over Harvey Elliott should be in order, but Gakpo's strike may not be enough for the Dutchman to displace Diogo Jota or Luis Diaz in the Reds' attack.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Gomez; Jones, Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Jota, Nunez, Diaz
